Let talk TikTok, because EVERYONE is talking about TikTok!
If you’ve heard of TikTok, chances are you have a teenager somewhere in your life. Tiktok has been described as a mashup of Vine, Twitter and Instagram, allowing its 500 million monthly users to create short-form, music-focused videos and edit them.
This is a platform you don’t want to miss out on. We talk about authenticity and this is the perfect way to show that to your audience and connect on a personal level that they can relate to. And let’s not forget it is super fun.
I must warn you though, if you do have kids, they will probably immediately tell you DO NOT FOLLOW ME, YOUR TO OLD TO BE ON HERE! That’s what my daughter said and within the first week, she was following me 🙂
However, According to Global Web Index, 41% of TikTok users are between 16 and 24 years old and 75% of users are between 18 and 35 years old. I am also seeing an older generation blow up on TikTok.
One of the trends that you should look for coming in 2020 is you will see more marketing budgets going towards TikTok. I highly recommend that you start to become at the very least familiar with it. This platform can be used in any industry, do not overthink it. Drop your handles in the comments so we can all support you.
I will be watching for you all on TikTok. We got this!

Happy New Year everyone! I started this year off with an amazing opportunity to be interviewed on Cubicle to Ceo podcast with Ellen Yin sharing my expertise with Google my business. This was a special podcast, it was special because it was shared with 17 other great marketing masterminds from a fabulous mastermind group that I am a part of called The Social Clique which is run by Rachel Pedersen.
You are going to want to grab a pen and paper to take notes on all the gold we are sharing in this One podcast!
Building and running a business is A LOT of work. Especially if you are struggling to grow and or have grown fast. No matter what season you are in there is always more to do and we are not given more hours to get it done. There are so many moving parts that are included when branding or marketing a business, and social media is one of the LARGEST contributors to traffic today.
Use your specific knowledge or valuable skill to promote yourself as an authority to help others. Lead a seminar, workshop, or meet up. When leading one of these, you position yourself as an expert and potentially generate new revenue if you charge a fee. You may also toss around the idea of creating a blog or publication.
Who is your target market audience? Are you targeting your audience or are you just throwing money at marketing ads hoping for growth? When it comes to advertising your business, it is imperative that you know who your “Target Audience” is and how to reach them.
You need to be direct. Directly reaching their interest in your product or service. Doing this will ultimately bring more revenue to your business.
You can figure out your message, your hook and your delivery, but if you do not understand your audience then you are just throwing money out the window in advertising cost.
3 days left til 2020! This seems so crazy. How is it possible? Whether you are ready or not it is coming but take a deep breath and grab a cup of coffee or tea because I am going to share some must Do’s for all your online spotlights.
I have seen this time and time again when doing audits for big or small companies. When I google search a company, I find that they have only some or close to none of the following.
3. Google my Business
This is just a shortlist as there are other places to spotlight your business depending on the niche.
